About You

Are you an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys making a real difference?

This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting an important incident response until December 2027. At the centre of a busy and high-profile area of work, you will help senior leaders stay ahead of changing priorities and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from customers and colleagues to elected representatives and their offices.

You will be resilient, organised and calm under pressure, with the judgement to recognise what needs immediate attention. Excellent inbox management is essential, along with the ability to bring structure to a complex workload and make sure important actions reach the right people.

You will bring:

  • Experience supporting a director, chief executive or other senior leader
  • Excellent inbox and diary management skills
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail
  • Confidence communicating with people at all levels
  • Resilience and flexibility when priorities change
  • Discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information
  • A proactive and collaborative approach

About The Role

You will provide trusted support to senior leaders as they manage a complex and rapidly changing incident response. Your work will connect people, information and priorities, helping the organisation respond effectively and keeping important activity moving.

Inbox management will be central to the role. You will identify urgent or sensitive issues, coordinate responses and ensure requests reach the right people. You will also manage diaries and meetings, prepare agendas and papers, take accurate minutes, maintain action trackers, and help organise visits and events.

You will build positive working relationships with a varied stakeholder network, including customers, colleagues, senior leaders, public bodies and elected representatives. Professionalism, sound judgement and clear communication will be especially important when issues are sensitive or time-critical.

You will join a supportive Executive Assistant team that shares knowledge, provides cover across executive offices and works together to improve forward planning and ways of working.

If you enjoy creating order from complexity, anticipating what senior leaders need and contributing to work that directly affects customers and communities, this could be a highly rewarding temporary opportunity.
