You’ll bring significant procurement experience within the following categories: IT and digital and corporate services. This experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector.

You’ll have the drive to deliver strategic contracts that help create a better future for people and the environment in mining areas.

You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver projects, and you’ll have a good knowledge of procurement legislation and different contract conditions.

You’ll preferably be CIPS qualified or working towards achieving this.

You’ll be a great communicator who is able to listen, interpret the needs of the business, and influence others to achieve the right commercial outcome.

You’ll be confident working independently, while also contributing to a supportive Procurement team and helping to inspire others.

About The Role

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activity for a range of contracts, ensuring compliant, effective and value-for-money outcomes.
  • Provide clear procurement and commercial advice to stakeholders across the organisation, helping them shape requirements and make informed decisions.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and routes to market that support business needs, manage risk and deliver best value.
  • Prepare and manage tender documentation, evaluation processes and award recommendations in line with procurement legislation and internal governance.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, suppliers and colleagues to deliver successful procurements from planning through to contract award.
  • Support the development of strong supplier relationships and contribute to effective contract management where required.
  • Use your knowledge of procurement legislation, commercial principles and contract conditions to support proportionate, defensible and well-documented decision making.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Procurement team by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and helping to improve ways of working.

Role location: Hybrid working (on average 2 days working out of our Mansfield office)
